Jack’s Gala: Reaching for the Stars is an annual space-themed fundraising gala held in Ottawa, inspired by a young boy named Jack who dreams of becoming an astronaut. Jack lives with SPG4, a rare, progressive neurological disease with no cure. His family created this special event to bring together the community, celebrate the power of hope, science and exploration, and raise critical funds toward developing the world’s first treatment or cure for SPG4. Inspired by Jack’s love of space, the gala is a reminder that even the biggest dreams are worth reaching for, and that together, we can push the boundaries of what is possible.
